Victim identified in Bolingbrook fatal shooting

23-year-old found wounded outside his Ottawa Drive home, Bolingbrook cops say

Bolingbrook police identified a man who was shot and killed at his home on Saturday.

Brandon L. Kines, 23, who lives in 300 block of Ottawa Drive, was fatally shot at his residence, Bolingbrook police Lt. Anthony Columbus said in an email.

Kines was found by police on the street in front of his home with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Police said the incident appeared to be a targeted and isolated shooting.

“Investigators with the Bolingbrook Police Department are following up on multiple leads in the case. We have several persons of interest,” Columbus said.

He said the Bolingbrook police did not have further details to share on the deadly shooting.

This same residence was the target of a shooting in October 2018, police said.

An unknown person fired four rounds into the home. No one was injured in that gun attack.

Before officers and paramedics arrived at Ottawa Drive on Saturday, a person was seen running away from the scene, police said.

Kines was found with gunshot wounds and taken to an area hospital, police said.

Kines was pronounced dead at 5:16 a.m. Saturday.

Police have asked anyone with information to call Bolingbrook Crimestoppers at 630-378-4772 or visit bolingbrookcrimestoppers.com.

People can also send information by using the P3 Tips app on a computer or smartphone, police said.
