Nathan Wells, second-grader at Grand Prairie in Frankfort, talks with his third-grade buddy at Chelsea to plan out their leprechaun trap.
Wells said it was fun to design the leprechaun trap, and he is excited to go to Chelsea next year.
"The transition from second to third grade can be challenging, especially since students will be going to a new building,” Grand Prairie Principal Kirsten Frankovich said in a news release from Frankfort School District 157-C.
“The hope is that Step-Up Days allow the current second-graders to become acclimated to Chelsea and alleviate some of their fears regarding the transition to third grade. “
