Lincoln-Way East remained in the top spot of the Associated Press State Football Poll for Class 8A. The poll was released Tuesday.
The Griffins received 80 voting points and all of the first-place votes. Minooka moved up to No. 6 in Class 8A, while Bolingbrook remained No. 10.
In Class 6A, Providence is No. 7, while Lemont was mentioned in the other teams receiving votes.
Joliet Catholic is the only local team in the Class 5A poll in others receiving votes, while Coal City climbed one spot to No. 2 in the Class 4A poll.
Wilmington fell from the top spot to No. 3 after its Week 8 loss to Coal City.
Lockport def. Bolingbrook, 32-30, 25-16: The Porters had to work hard to win the first set before settling in to claim a SouthWest Suburban Conference win.
Taylor Morgan had eight kills for Lockport (24-10, 2-1), and Ellie Anselmo had 13 digs.
Minooka def. Oswego East, 25-12, 24-26, 25-19: The Indians had to go to three sets to collect a Southwest Prairie victory.
Minooka (27-6, 9-1) got 27 kills from Heidi Bonde and 42 assists from Zoey Seput.
Bradley-Bourbonnais def. Lincoln-Way Central, 25-21, 25-20: Katie Barry had 10 kills, but the Knights came up short in a SouthWest Suburban Conference matchup.
Plainfield North def. Plainfield East, 25-11, 25-14: The Tigers upended their district rivals in a Southwest Prairie matchup.
Romeoville def. Yorkville, 25-17, 18-25, 26-24: The Spartans were tested by the Foxes before emerging with a Southwest Prairie Conference win.
Lemont 1, Hinsdale South 0: The Indians advanced to the title game of their own Class 2A Regional with a narrow victory over the Hornets.
Naperville North 2, Plainfield East 0: The Bengals season came to an end in the semfinal round of the Bolingbrook Class 3A Regional.
Herscher 2, Peotone 1: The Blue Devils lost in the semifinal round of the Class 1A Reed-Custer Sectional.
Minooka 6, Pekin 0: The Indians had no trouble collecting a win over Pekin in a Class 3A Regional semifinal.
