MANHATTAN - Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a woman who used someone else's financial information.
Surveillance images from June 10 and 11 have been posted on the department's Facebook page and shared on social media.
"The owner of the credit card still has the card and didn't allow anyone to use it, but somehow her information was copied," Wazny said. "She saw the first charge where the fradulent purchase was successful and canceled the card so the second attempt was not."
The Manhattan resident then contacted police, who reviewed surveillance video from Berkot's, 100 Market Place.
On June 10, a young woman with long hair that is dark in front and dirty blonde in back bought groceries while wearing a green dress and dark jacket. On June 11 she was wearing a white tank top and blue shorts.
"The still photographs we've captured show a different look, but from watching the video it appears to be the same person both times," Detective Mike Holford said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Holford at 708-625-2103 or email@example.com.
