Joliet high school students honored as DAR Good Citizens
JOLIET – On Feb. 3, the Louis Joliet Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) held their Annual Student Recognition Program at the Cherry Hill Church of Christ in Joliet.
Three Joliet High School seniors received the DAR Good Citizen Award for outstanding service in their homes, schools, and communities.
The DAR Good Citizen Award was created in 1934 and is presented to a high school senior who exhibits the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism. These students are selected by their individual schools.
The three DAR Good Citizen Award recipients for the 2017-2018 school year are Alexandra Lange from Joliet Catholic Academy, Aisha Diab from Joliet Central High School, and Catherine Mae Mastin from Joliet West High School.
