Churchgoers attended a special service, and volunteers crafted Valentine's Day cards for homebound patients to remember Martin Luther King Jr. over the weekend in the Will County area.
Members of Joliet's St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church attended service Sunday and heard from Rev. Wendell Martin, while volunteers gathered Monday at Joliet Area Community Hospice to make more than 300 cards.
The service at St. Paul also served as a fundraiser for the Rainbow/Push organization.
