My favorite place to eat in Joliet - no lie - the Joliet Junior College City Center campus located at 235 N. Chicago St. in Joliet.
The food is prepared by Joliet Junior College cullinary arts students under supervision from their chef instructors.
The quality and service is outstanding; the cost is reasonable.
I try to get to Thrive on Friday nights (6 to 8 p.m.) at least once a semester. Thrive is also open from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Wednesdays. If I my budget could afford twice a week, I'd be there every time.
Students in Eric Bell's "Concept to Operation" class also run a restaurant from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Mondays. The menu changes weekly.
I ate there on Sept. 30. The cuisine was Asian and it was excellent.
