CREST HILL - Police say a teen had over $3,000 worth of marijuana in his car Monday night.
Deputy Chief Brad Hertzmann said police were called at 11:50 p.m. after residents in the 1600 block of Dearborn Street reported a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a house.
When officers arrived they found Cristian Guzman, 18, sitting alone in a 2016 Hyundai Genesis and detected the odor of burned cannabis, Hertzmann said.
Police searched the vehicle and reportedly found bags containing over 300 grams of marijuana and prescription narcotics. Guzman, of the 1000 block of Oakland Avenue in Joliet, was arrested on charges of drug trafficking, drug possession and marijuana possession and booked into the Will County jail.
