JOLIET - A Joliet man on Wednesday was arrested for the fifth time on marijuana delivery charges.
Kyle O. Williams, 25, of the 1100 block of Parkwood Drive, was driving at 10:20 p.m. when his car was stopped at Morgan and O'Neill streets, according to Deputy Chief Ed Gregory.
"The officers could smell the odor of cannabis as they approached the vehicle and using flashlights they were able to see the passenger stuffing something under her seat," Gregory said.
After Williams and his passenger were removed from the car, police found an ounce of marijuana, valued at $300, according to Will County Assistant State's Attorney Chris Messina.
Williams also had a digital scale and plastic bags in the car and "baggies" in his pockets, Gregory said. He was also reportedly carrying three cell phones.
Messina told Judge Art Smiegelski that Williams is on probation for a 2015 delivery of marijuana case and has three prior delivery cases and a prior marijuana possession conviction.
Smiegelski ordered Williams held in the Will County jail on $10,000 bond for a charge of delivery of marijuana. Williams must take a drug test before every court date if he is able to make bail.
