To the Editor:
As a Vietnam-era veteran, I want to thank all the people, men, women and children, who take the time to “thank all our veterans for our service.”
It was a lot different during that war (not a “Police Action”). At one point, many of us took off our uniforms when we traveled to avoid the ridicule and hate exhibited by our fellow Americans.
I lost a lot of friends during that so-called "Police Action.” Please take the time, when you can, to say a little prayer when you come across a white grave stone.
I also want to thank our president for his support for our military. It’s better than giving our hard-earned tax dollars to our enemies. Please continue your support of our military; it is a lot more appreciated then you may realize. And please remember two things, if you would. Real heroes don’t wear capes, they wear dog tags, and real heroes stand and salute the flag and kneel for the cross.
