A Lockport man was arrested and charged with aggravated battery to a police officer and harassment.
About 5 p.m. Tuesday, John T. Gram, 25, of the 1600 block of South State Street was arrested at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center and charged with two counts of aggravated battery to a police officer and harassment that included a threat to kill.
Gram also was charged with violating his parole. He has been on parole since July 25. He had been sentenced to a year in prison for a possession of a controlled substance. He was released from prison in July.
After Gram’s arrest, he was taken to the Will County jail. He was scheduled to appear in court for a bond hearing Wednesday afternoon.
On Aug. 17, Gram was charged with criminal damage to property. The criminal complaint alleged that sometime between July 10 and 11, he damaged a vehicle belonging to his 26-year-old girlfriend. The damage apparently did not exceed $500.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge.
