A Lockport man charged with sexual assault was about to take a flight from a Boston airport when federal agents arrested him, police said.
On July 10, agents with U.S. Customs and Border Protection arrested Michael T. Enoh, 33, of the 300 block of Wherlan Street in Lockport, at an airport in Boston, Lockport Deputy Police Chief Ron Huff said.
On July 5, an arrest warrant was issued for Enoh after he was charged with criminal sexual assault and criminal sexual abuse of a woman. The alleged incident took place June 23.
Enoh had attempted to board a flight out of the airport, Huff said. Lockport police had him flagged for travel because they were concerned he would flee the U.S., he said.
After Enoh was arrested, he was turned over to Massachusetts State Police and scheduled to be extradited to Illinois. However, the extradition was delayed because he attempted to fight it, Huff said.
He was sent to Will County jail at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday. His bond was set at $250,000.
The warrant described Enoh as 6-foot-8 and 230 pounds with brown hair and eyes. His last known address listed in the warrant was in the 400 block of North Hillcrest Court in Round Lake Park, a village in Lake County.
He works for Taking Care Of Our Seniors in Rockford, which is a home service agency for seniors, the warrant said. Enoh’s next court date was scheduled for Thursday.
