To the Editor:
In response to Don Weber’s letter on Madigan’s dream team, only one word can define it: stupidity.
Apparently no one cares how high their taxes go up or how corrupt our politicians are. The only ones who care are the ones leaving the state and the crooks running the state into deeper debt. These so-called people can’t see past their noses, so they’re going to get what they deserve. They also are taking down the good people who want better conditions. So until we get rid of the trash, we are stuck with it.
Limits should be put on politicians for how long they should be in office, and the crooks should be in jail. They should also be stripped of all pension plans and all other benefits afforded to them. They should be getting the exact same benefits as the common people who work for a living.
I said it before and I stick to it: we can’t get ahead until we get someone in office that cares about the state that this state is in now. Promises are always made but never fulfilled. So for the next four years, tighten your belts and hang on for the ride. And hope you can make it through.
