Three juveniles were arrested at Plainfield South High School after allegedly attacking a person in the school’s parking lot.
About 2:30 p.m. Dec. 18, officers responded to the 2200 block of Seaton Avenue after receiving a report of a fight, Joliet Deputy Police Chief Darrell Gavin said in an email. The officers were told the suspects left in a red Chevrolet that headed to the parking lot of Plainfield South High School.
Officers met with the victim and witnesses to the fight. They alleged that three juveniles, who were all 17, were punching the victim in the head and neck, Gavin said.
The victim and witnesses identified juveniles who were detained by police. The officers also were told that one of the juveniles was driving in a reckless manner in the parking lot and had been warned about trespassing there.
All three juveniles were arrested and charged with aggravated battery. One of them also was charged with criminal trespass and reckless driving.
