Parents in Plainfield School District 202 can apply online until Feb. 8 for the 2018-19 lottery to attend the district’s preschool programs.
District 202 is using an online application for the preschool lottery again this year. Tuition-based preschool programs will be located at the Bonnie McBeth Learning Center, Freedom Elementary, Liberty Elementary and Ridge Elementary for the 2019-20 school year, according to the district’s website.
Parents can apply for the two-, three- and five-day programs at Bonnie McBeth Learning Center and Ridge Elementary School and the five-day program at Liberty Elementary.
Enrollment for the general education preschool program at Bonnie McBeth is open to all District 202 children ages 3 to 5. The program is in an inclusive setting, according to the district. Students must be 3 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2019, to enroll for the 2019-20 school year.
The lottery drawing will be held on Feb. 15, and parents will hear back no later than that day regarding their child’s status.
Registration for students accepted in the lottery will be on a later date in March. Families who fail to register and pay the $100 deposit by April 5 will lose their spot. Parents of students placed on the waiting list will be notified of any openings as of April 8.
Lottery application information is available at the Bonnie McBeth Learning Center, located at 15730 Howard St. in Plainfield, at the District 202 Administration Center located at 15732 Howard St. in Plainfield and at all District 202 elementary schools.
