COUNTRY Financial representatives Nora Beverly and Tim Hartnell are pleased to announce the New Lenox Fire Foundation as a 2019 recipient of a $3,000 COUNTRY Financial Operation Helping Heroes donation.
The donation will assist the foundation with purchasing life-saving equipment and fire gear that is not covered in the department’s budget.
Hartnell currently serves on the fire foundation board, founded in June 2009. He has been a member for the past 10 years, and President for 8 years. The New Lenox Fire Protection District has four stations, primarily services New Lenox, parts of Homer Glen and Mokena totaling 34.5 square miles.
According to Beverly, the new 12 lead cardiac monitors are needed to help provide better services to residents of the growing fire protection district.
“This life-saving equipment, such as cardiac monitors, will allow first responders to identify and communicate cardiac events quickly and accurately,” Beverly said in a news release from COUNTRY Financial..
“Diagnostic time is imperative,” Hartnell added in the release. “Treatment can start immediately and save up to 35 minutes diagnostic time.”
COUNTRY Financial initiated Operation Helping Heroes in 2015 to support non-profit events and programs that benefit active duty service members, veterans and their families.
More recently, Operation Helping Heroes expanded to provide support for emergency first responders.
In 2019, COUNTRY Financial and its financial representatives have already provided more than $100,000 in donations to first responders and service members in the states where it does business.
