Two cows, named Suzie and Hawk, were found wandering recently in Joliet after they reportedly broke free from a nearby ranch.
On Tuesday morning, Joliet police saw two cows walking in the roadway on Parkwood Drive, according to a Joliet Police Department Facebook post. The officers were able to determine the cows broke free from a nearby ranch.
Officers corralled the cows and returned them to their owner. Joliet police Sgt. Christopher Botzum said he didn’t have information on how the cows broke free, and he couldn’t disclose who owned the cows.
“The officers went to different places in the area that had livestock and were able to determine who owned the cows,” he said.
