Four Will County businesses failed an Illinois State Police alcohol sting last week.
Troopers conducted Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement details at 24 businesses June 19 in Will County, according to a news release from state police.
Of the two dozen in Crest Hill, Lockport and Romeoville, four sold alcohol to a minor.
Shell employee Olivia Hamilton, 38, of Crest Hill; Shell of Crest Hill employee Sukhbir Singh Rehal, 41, of Romeoville; Speedway employee Gregory A. Simson Jr., 25, of Joliet; and Falcon Food and Liquor employee Hirenkumar M. Patel, 30, of Romeoville, were charged with unlawful delivery of alcoholic liquor to a minor, according to the release.
The purpose of the details is to determine what businesses may be selling alcoholic beverages to minors.
“The Illinois State Police commends establishments which do not sell alcohol to minors,” according to the release.
