State Rep. Mark Batinick, R-Plainfield, is hosting a senior fair July 25 at St. Mary’s Immaculate Church in Plainfield.
The event is free and open to the public and will feature vendors from area businesses and organizations and state agencies aimed at helping seniors in various aspects of their lives. Resources from state, county and local governments will be on hand for the fair. Free health screenings will also be available. The Secretary of State’s Mobile Unit will be at the event for driver’s license and state ID renewal, license plate sticker purchase and organ donor sign up. Drivers age 75 and older are required to take a driving test to renew their licenses.
The event will be from 9 a.m. to noon July 25. St. Mary’s is located at 15629 S. Route 59. Free refreshments will be available.
