They made the special gift at the Board of Education’s Sept. 23, 2019 regular meeting.

Among his many achievements, Hennessy led an 18-month initiative to help the Plainfield community recover after the August 28, 1990 tornado that killed 28 people and destroyed Plainfield High School and St. Mary Immaculate Church and caused hundreds of millions of dollars in property damage around the area.
