U.S. Rep. Dan Lipinski will host an informational presentation Monday about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form for those wanting to seek higher education.
Lipinski, D-Western Springs, will hold the presentation at Lewis University. Attendees will hear advice about how to apply for financial needed to pursue their degree, according to a news release.
“As a former college professor, I am a huge supporter of higher education,” Lipinski said in the release. “A college degree has become vital in today’s hypercompetitive global economy and I want to make sure all students have access to the financial aid resources they need.”
Before his election to Congress, Lipinski earned a master’s degree in engineering-economic systems and a doctorate in political science. He also taught college courses on American government.
Lipinski said in the release that he was hosting the FAFSA event with Lewis University’s Office of Financial Aid.
The event will take place at 6 p.m. in Lewis University’s Academic Building.
