In a new program, Troy students are being recognized for exceptional attitudes.

According to William B. Orenic Intermediate School assistant principal Kaitlin Curran, the Troy Community School District 30-C school has already honored more than 35 fifth and sixth grader students with the referrals for being respectful, responsible, peaceful, honest and showing good teamwork and attitude.

Examples of specific deeds include a student who helped another who was struggling; a student being a quiet, helpful leader in class; a student who shared ideas in class; a student who helped other students without being asked; a student with a great attitude; and a student who was always kind to his classmates and teachers.
