The year 2019 has been one of recognition and accomplishment for Heart Haven Outreach (H2O), a not-for-profit organization focused on empowering youth and strengthening communities.
These accolades acknowledge the positive impact H2O has had on the nearly 500 students that participated this year in the many support and mentoring programs offered by H2O that help teens deal with self-esteem issues and problems in school, learn life skills and social competencies, and understand that they are lovable, capable, and worthwhile.
Awards received in 2019 by H2O included:
2019 ACE Award Romeoville’s Non-Profit of the Year – Given by the Romeoville Area Chamber of Commerce
2019 Reaching Out & Building Bridges Award by Illinois Principal Association: Three Rivers Region, recognizing an agency, association, or community member displaying an outstanding effort in creating partnerships between schools, principals, associations and organizations for the betterment of all.
2019 Recipient of the De La Salle Medallion for Excellence in Community Partnership from Lewis University, honoring a community-based organization which has demonstrated outstanding collaboration with Lewis University through curricular and co-curricular community engagement.
2019 GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency – The highest level of recognition offered by GuideStar, the world’s largest source of information on nonprofit organizations, indicating that the nonprofit is committed to the highest level of transparency in its programs and operations, enabling donors to make educated decisions about supporting the work they do.
2019 Best of Bolingbrook Business Nominee – Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce in the nonprofit category, recognizing excellence in business operations and community support.
