No one could have seen this coming.
It’s truly shocking and nearly beyond belief. But it looks like NorthPoint isn’t content to merely set up a modest, 103-acre industrial park in Joliet, which was all it was asking for when the city council voted a couple months ago to give it the zoning it needed for the project.
But now NorthPoint is making noise about building a monstrous development more than 20 times the size of what it was talking about back in November, something so gigantic it might sprawl from Joliet into both Manhattan and Elwood.
Who could have guessed this was the way it was going to go?
