15 D-202 high school students win Scholastic Art Awards

Fifteen student artists from Plainfield Central, Plainfield South and Plainfield East high schools won 19 regional awards in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.

The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards allows seventh through 12th grade students nationwide to submit works of art or writing for the chance to win scholarships and have their work published or exhibited by the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers.

“Gold Key” works now will be considered for national-level recognition. National Medals will be awarded later this spring. The top entries at the national level will be displayed this spring and summer as part of the organization’s national tour.
