Two Plainfield 10-year-olds are competing in the USA Climbing Youth Bouldering National Championships this weekend in Redmond, Oregon.

YouTube will broadcast the event Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Visit m.youtube.com/user/USAClimbing and search for Male D qualifiers 2020 youth bouldering Nationals.  The live feed will come up, Kelly said.

Aiden and Logan Krajnik began rock climbing a little over four years ago and quickly moved into the competition arena.

This is Logan’s second year competing in nationals and Aiden’s first, their mother Kelly Krajnik said.

Climbing for their age group starts Friday at 4:30 p.m. central standard time. Logan will come out to begin at approximately 6:50 p.m. Aiden at 7:10. p.m., Kelly said.

Logan will wear bib 1136 (He's the 36th climber in the age group 11 and under). He will climb four minutes, rest four minutes and then climb again, Kelly said. He will have four climbing problems to solve, Kelly added.

Aiden will wear bib 1141, (the 41st climber) coming out of isolation at 7:10pm central time. So while he is climbing route one, Logan will be resting, waiting to climb the fourth problem, Kelly said.

The top 20 from qualifiers will advance to Saturday afternoon semifinals.

The top 10 from semifinals will climb in the finals on Sunday afternoon.

Saturday and Sunday will also be on YouTube. In searching for them, Saturday will replace "qualifiers" with "semifinals"  and then Sunday with "finals," Kelly said

An expanded story will appear in Sunday's Herald-News.
