Basco said Weber was also known by her nickname: Angel.
“Now she’s our guardian angel,” Basco said. “It’s been a tough pill to swallow, let me tell you.”
Candy Cox, the manager of Clayton's Tap in Morris where Weber often played pool, said
Weber was a lovely person.
"I found her to be very upbeat," Cox said. "She was struggling a little with the new situation but she was very positive. But she was also not afraid to tell you how she felt."
Cox said Weber was very excited about this new beginning in her life and she'd enjoyed chatting with Weber, nothing too deep, just five to 10-minutes conversations at a time.
"I'd played pool with her and around her and had gotten to know her," Cox said. "A pool family is like family. We stick together."
Basco met Weber about a year or so ago at Brandt’s Tavern in Morris. Both of them liked to play pool and played regularly there on Saturday nights, Basco said
