My Joyful Heart, a Mokena-based nonprofit children’s charity that provides both life’s necessities and encouragement to local area children and teens, is hosting a pillow drive.
The goal is to collect 1,100 new standard-size pillows and pillow cases to gift to each child enrolled in their program.
These children are are homeless or are from poor working households and basic essentials like pillows are luxuries they simply cannot afford.
My Joyful Heart receives no federal or state funding. Its ability to help is possible because of fundraising and through collection drives like this.
Drop off donations between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday at My Joyful Heart, 9981 W. 190th St. Suite I, Mokena.
The drive ends Sept. 1
