Residents in and around Plainfield will soon have the opportunity to learn more about the work of their local police and fire departments.
Those living in and around the village can attend the 12 sessions of the Plainfield Citizen's Police & Fire Academy, according to a news release.
The academy starts in the spring.
The sessions are held on consecutive Thursday nights from 7-9 p.m. from April 2 through June 18.
The classes are free of charge and conducted at various locations in the village of Plainfield. Residents will learn from Plainfield police, fire and ambulance personnel.
The deadline to register is Friday, March 20, at 5 p.m. There are 25 spots available.
