Cancer center continues support services online

As a public service, Shaw Media will provide open access to information related to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) emergency. Sign up for the newsletter here

The Cancer Support Center with locations in Mokena and Homewood is still providing hope, help, and healing to anyone impacted by cancer.

Support and wellness programs are still available online and via phone.

Therapists are also available for online and via phone for consultations, counseling and wellness checks.

Program navigators are available by phone to answer any general questions regarding resources and other needs beyond counseling.

Cancer patients are encouraged to call, even to just check in.

The Cancer Support Center website has a range of programs from fitness, nutrition, stress reduction and mediation on video. The goal is to add a new program or two each week, so frequent visits to the site is recommended.

Also, at the bottom of each page is a form to fill out if you have a question or comment.

Casablanca Gala 2020  is rescheduled for Oct. 30, still at Olympia Field Country Club. Everyone who makes a reservation before May 1 will receive a special gift at the gala in the fall.

Spring Walk of Hope is moved to June 21.

For resources and more information about programs and upcoming events visit cancersupportcenter.org or call 708-478-3529 (Mokena) or 708-798-9171 (Homewood).
