Lanes will be reduced for a bridge project starting Friday on a section of Essington Road crossing Rock Run Creek in Joliet.
The area between Ingalls Avenue and Theodore Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction for a bridge replacement project, the city of Joliet said in a news release. The work is expected to be completed late this year.
The sidewalk will also be restricted to one side of Essington Road during construction.
Traffic control will be in place during the project, the city said.
