COVID-19 testing to be offered to public in Joliet next week

Members of the public will have the opportunity to get tested for COVID-19 over two days in Joliet next week.

The Will County Community Health Center Mobile Medical Unit will be at the Nowell Park Recreation Center for walk-in testing for COVID-19 on May 26 and May 27, according to a news release.

The recreation center is located at 199 Mills Road in Joliet.

The testing will be offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Residents are asked to begin lining up between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m. to receive their tickets and packets. Testing will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

Residents are also asked to bring a copy of their identification and insurance card.

There will be no charge for those who are uninsured.
