The village of Romeoville will celebrate Independence Day on July 3 with three simultaneous fireworks shows for residents to watch from home.
The village strongly encouraged residents to view the fireworks from home as social distancing measures remain in place in order to slow the spread of COVID-19.
“We continue to be innovative with programs and events,” Romeoville Mayor John Noak said in a news release. “By spacing out three shows around the community, we hope that everyone can remain home and still see a great display.”
The fireworks shows will be held starting at 9:30 pm.
The shows will be based from Volunteer Park at 1100 Murphy Drive, Lukancic Middle School at 725 Normantown Road and Discovery Park at 300 S. Highpoint Drive.
The parking lot to these facilities will be closed on July 3.
