To the Editor:
In response to the June 3 Ken Yanko letter re: self-destruction, Yanko said Donald Trump is “responsible for tens of thousands of deaths in our country, with an approval rating that is abysmal at best, an economy that’s tanked and unemployment is highest in history.”
If you add the total population of UK, Germany, France, Spain and Italy – it is slightly less than the U.S. – however, their number of COVID-19 deaths are 30% more than the U.S. Our economic indices are up 20% or more since President Obama left office and before the pandemic hit, our unemployment levels were historically low.
Yanko also states, “I’m embarrassed for my country, and while I’m enjoying the show ...” What kind of person can you be to be enjoying the show? Probably one that is in self-destruct mode without a lifeline. By the way, President Trump’s approval rating is well above 50%.
