Drive-thru Eucharistic adoration and other outdoor worship this weekend in Will County

Remote church services are still the safest church services as Illinois moves into Phase 4 this weekend.

Outdoor services with social distancing are considered low-risk.

And that's a good option as many people do miss the opportunity to worship in a real place with other believers.

Below are three ways you can express your faith in an outdoor or drive-thru service this weekend. One of those options even comes with a contingency plan if it should rain.

In addition, many churches within the Diocese of Joliet are now offering inside Masses in a limited capacity and with strict guidelines.

In many cases, those guidelines include making an advance reservation for Sunday Mass.

Drive-up Adoration: 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Mondays and Fridays), 9:30 a.m. to noon (Wednesdays and Saturdays), St. Mary Immaculate Parish, 15629 S Route 59, Plainfield. Drive up near the church entrance. Park on the parking spaces, but parallel park on either side of the islands facing the church. Leave the aisles open for traffic. Do not drive into the circle and block the view for others. Turn off headlights. Call 815-436-2651 or visit smip.org.

Catholic Mass: 5 p.m. (Saturdays), 8 a.m. (Sundays) and 10:30 a.m. (Sundays), Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, 604 N. Raynor Ave., Joliet. Register at Eventbrite.com and following guidelines

Catholic Mass: 10 a.m., Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 337 S Ottawa St., Joliet. Please wait in your car until you see someone unlock the doors to enter. Maintain the recommended 6-feet separation while in line awaiting ushering to a pew. Greeters will usher you to available seats in the church. If you have not registered to attend, you will not be allowed into the building. Register at Eventbrite.com or call 630-907-4690.

Thrive City Hall Church Service: 10:30 a.m., 808 Adams Street, Lockport. Park and city hall and tune in to hear the service. Bring lawn chairs (some chairs supplied). Bathrooms available.
