The 28th annual Will County Back to School Fair, coordinated by the Diocese of Joliet's Catholic Charities, is scheduled for July 30.
Catholic Charities holds the annual fair to help students from low-income households in Will County prepare for the upcoming school year.
The fair will be held from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Joliet Catholic Academy, 1200 N. Larkin Ave. in Joliet.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's Back to School Fair will be a bit different from how it's been in years past.
Participants will be able to receive school supplies via a drive through to comply with social distancing mandates. Illinicare Health donated the school supplies.
The free health services provided for attendees will not be available. Will County residents can get physicals and dental exams for their children ahead of the start of school at the Will County Community Health Center.
All families seeking assistance with school supplies will be required to pre-register at catholiccharitiesjoliet.org.
Registrants will receive a ticket and a specific time to attend the fair to get their supplies.
