A Joliet man was arrested on child pornography charges.
On Thursday, officials with the Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigations Zone 3 arrested Alejandro Perez-Cervantes, 37, of the 3600 block of Judy Court, trooper Genelle Jones said.
Perez-Cervantes faces four counts of child pornography.
At 7 a.m. Thursday, state police investigators executed a search warrant at Perez-Cervantes’ home after receiving information that he was “engaged in possession of child pornography,” Jones said.
Jones said the investigation involving Perez-Cervantes is “open and ongoing.”
After Perez-Cervantes’ arrest, he was taken to the Will County jail, where he is being held on $100,000 bond. He will need to post $10,000 for his release.
State police said an IP address registered to Wallace’s residence was associated with a Snapchat account that was uploading images identified as child pornography.
