At first glance, you wouldn’t think this should be taking as much time as it has.
After all, there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot to do. There are some videos to watch, a few people talk to who were directly involved, at least one who said she saw something, and that’s pretty much it.
One video of the incident that made the rounds shows Joliet Mayor Bob O’Dekirk during the aftermath of a May 31 Black Lives Rally.
At one point, the video shows O’Dekirk grabbing a pedestrian, a man named Victor Williams, and hauling him away. Then, Williams’ brother, Jamal Smith, intervenes and the three of them wind up on the ground together.
