Plainfield church decided 'Make a Difference Day' was really needed this year
Every year for nearly a decade, St. Mary Immaculate Parish in Plainfield has celebrated its own version of “Make a Difference Day.”
This unofficial secular holiday is celebrated on the fourth Saturday in October. St. Mary’s held its celebration on Oct. 17.
A news release from the church said some discussion was held about whether or not to hold the event due to general concerns in the greater community about COVID.
But then it was decided that such an event was really needed, the release also said
